My name is Ellie, and I’m a creative soul with a love for fashion, design, and exploring the world.

A little about me…
Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved drawing, being creative and making things with my hands.

Born in Wonthaggi in the Victorian countryside, I’ve always been drawn to nature, soft colours and a slower, quieter way of life. Creativity runs in my family…my Grandmother was a seamstress and my Mother, who taught me how to sew, passed down those skills. That sparked my love for dressmaking and fashion design, which inspired me to pursue it as a career.

After completing my Fashion Design degree at RMIT, I spent several years ambitious to climb corporate ladder. But over time, I realised that path wasn’t for me. I craved more creativity, more freedom and space to bring my own ideas to life. That’s when I found my way into surface pattern design, which reignited my love for drawing and gave me a new sense of purpose.

Today, I combine my creativity, industry experience, and sewing skills to design unique repeating and placement patterns. I bring my patterns to life by printing them on fabric and creating mock-up garments, as I love seeing how a print transforms once it’s in motion, shaped by the body and fabric.

This hands-on process allows me to connect more deeply with my work, making each design feel personal and intentional from first sketch to finished piece.

My love for travel is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. Much of my creative influence comes from the nostalgic feeling of the countryside and the beauty of Europe, both places that feel deeply familiar to me.
With Greek heritage, I naturally gravitate towards the Mediterranean for its rich culture, sunny coastlines, blue waters, and delicious food. The countryside, in contrast, brings a comforting sense of home and stillness.

I'm at my best in warm, sun-soaked weather, which makes living in Melbourne (where you can get four seasons in a single day) a decision I question often. That said, I do love the cold…but only if I’m curled up by a fireplace with a hot cup of tea, a hot water bottle on my tummy, and three layers of clothing.

When I create, I stay close to the things I genuinely love. My work is a reflection of my experiences shaped by the places I’ve travelled and the environments I feel most connected to. I believe good design should feel honest, intentional, and personal.

My design style is…
Simple, feminine, and calm. I love using colour, usually in soft, understated tones and most of my work is vector-based, with clean lines and a considered, minimal approach.
